Description
Tahitian Odyssey offers you the small summit of Anuvea, culminating at 870 meters, this hike is a great opportunity to gain height on the Tuauru valley and experience the wild trails of Tahiti.
Sunset Hike:
- Departure in the late afternoon, for a first walk of about 1 km on a comfortable track.
- Then, you have to reach the ridge passing through several rope passages.
- The summit of Anuvea is reached after 1km on the ridge, offering a beautiful view of the town of Mahina at sunset.
- The descent is done in the twilight, just before nightfall.
> End of hike - Between 3h and 5h of hiking.
Bivouac option (1 night):
- Departure at your convenience.
- The first section is on a comfortable track of approximately 1 km.
- Then, you must reach the ridge via several rope crossings
- The summit of Anuvea is reached after 1 km on the ridge, offering a beautiful view of the town of Mahina and the Tuauru Valley.
- Camp is set up; a rainwater collector tank allows for a rustic shower before nightfall.
- The next day, you can choose: Ascent of Mapura (between 1.5 and 2 hours one way) / Or free time at the summit of Anuvea before descending.
